FIRE SHOWS!
Journey provides dazzling and daring fire shows fit for any event including weddings, bachelor/bachelorette, Christmas, New Years, kids parties and more. With over 15 props to choose from we can make each show unique. All booked fire shows will also include a safety assistant to accompany the performer. Insurance for the venue is available upon request. While there are many fire dancers to choose from, it’s critical to consider the experience level and safety knowledge of your dancers as this can be dangerous if done incorrectly!
Featured Fire Shows:
Featured shows means all the attention is on the fire dancers. They typically last between 15-30 minutes depending on the number of dancers. We can either provide our own sound and music or use your sound granted a sufficient sound system and DJ is being used for the event. All music can be customized to your event. Choreographed duets, fire eating and fire breathing are available upon request.
Ambient Fire Shows:
Ambient shows means that the dancers are adding to the ambiance of the event but are not the main attraction. These are typically booked by the hour and consist of roughly 10 minutes of fire dancing followed by 10 minutes of prep over the course of an hour.
Requirements of the Client/Venue for a Fire Show:
Fire shows require ample space. We need a minimum of 20x20 feet with no overhanging trees/banners/etc. Pictures of the space or an onsite visit will be required beforehand for safety reasons. Public events will require permitting through the fire marshal. Thankfully, Journey Jolley is one of the only licensed Flame Effectors Operators in Austin, a required license to get a permit in Texas. Indoor fire is sometimes an option granted there is extra high ceilings, ample space and either no sprinkler system or one that can be easily turned off.
Safety protOCOL:
Journey Jolley is the leader on safety for fire dancers in Austin and one of the only Flame Effects Operator making her extremely knowledgable on both safety and the legal side of fire performing. She always provides inspected fire extinguishers and fire retardant blankets, and has highly trained assistants. The safety of the space and her audience is her highest concern.
